First Aid Courses

HSF Training Ltd are an HSE approved first aid training centre and offer first aid courses, including First Aid at Work, First Aid Revalidation, Emergency First Aid at Work training.

The First Aid Courses include CPR (cardio-pulmonary resuscitation). All of which lead to delegates obtaining first aid certificates which endorse their ability to perform first aid in the workplace.

Emergency First Aid at Work
In 2010 the rules for first aid at work changed and an employer must carry out a risk based assessment of the first aid needs within their workplace. One of the points to consider is that an appointed person should be available at all times that persons are present within the workplace to manage an emergency situation. First Aid at Work Certificate
This 3-day course will equip you with a range of first aid competencies giving you the ability to administer first aid in the workplace effectively, safely and promptly and become an accredited first aider. The course is delivered by experienced trainers who make it interesting fun and relevant

First Aid at Work Revalidation Certificate
This course ensures first aid at work certificates are renewed and maintained can be taken up to 3 months before the expiry date of the First Aid at Work certificate, or up to 28 days after the certificate expiry date.

HABC Level 2 National Award in Infection Control
Health care industries especially would see the benefit of the control of infection however it is just as important in a range of industries, where people are residing and working together, such as the hospitality industry. This course makes students aware of the hazards and controls for the spread of infection, including reducing the risks and protecting themselves from infections.

HSE Recommended First Aid at Work Annual Refresher
The HSE strongly recommends that first-aiders undertake an annual half day refresher course, to maintain their skills and keep up to date with any changes.

Paediatric First Aid
This course has been developed to meet the requirements of National Standards for first aid by NCMA, OFSTED Pre-School Learning Alliance, and Surestart for the purpose of registering as an early years professional.

'In House' Courses

Defibrillator Training
This course is designed for companies with an Automated External Defibrillator on their premises. Over 270,000 people suffer a heart attack every year in the U.K. An AED unit with a trained operator at the site of a sudden cardiac arrest can raise the chance of survival from 0% to 80%.

First Aid at Work Annual Refresher
The HSE strongly recommends that all first aiders refresh their knowledge annually to ensure continued high standards of first aid provision in the workplace.
